Who teaches you how to pump? Um, no one. Have you ever seen anyone pump?? If you have, count yourself lucky 🙂 Maybe your breastpump might come with a cutesie video that was shot in the late ’90s of a woman who easily pumps and multitasks at the same time.
Enter reality. When you are hooked up to a machine for the first time and it sounds like you are in a factory. You are trying to balance tubing and bottles and suction flanges, and not cry for every cow that has been through this before you (OK, maybe that was just me, but I really did). It’s wonderful, it’s all for your little babe, but pumping has it’s challenges. Wouldn’t it have been nice to know some tips before beginning, or maybe you are in the thick of it and still feel like you could hone the craft of pumping? Will they eat what I pack for them? How can I make it as nutritious as possible? What can I pack that will be good to eat cold? Will there be refrigeration available? Do I send things with utensils? What will the teacher/parents think of my healthy/unhealthy choices (for real, I know, right)? And then there is the what do I put it in dilemma?
We will have a show n’ tell, Q & A of all of our lunch containers & Klean Kanteens conducted by the fabulous Sandy Cederbaum of A Small Green Footprint and lunch boxes from reBlossom. So come ready to get equipped with recipes, strategies and gear! Read more about Happy, Healthy Packed Lunches

8) Now that you’ve weaned, now what? Should you replace breastmilk with other milks or formula?
9) We’ve weaned. Why am I feeling so weird? Bummer, nursing breasts are gone, I feel weird about my body. How long will I produce milk?
